The Third biennial series of special ATM issues for Andorra – Spanish postal administration. The first series was issued in 2021 (see article, also published in VARIABLE 61), followed two years later by a second (article), and in 2025 the Correos philatelic service released a new series of two designs for variable value stamps.
The 2025 issues are dedicated to the stage of the Vuelta a España cycling race through Andorra and the sculpture ‘Robot en suspensió‘ (‘Robot in suspension’).

The first design follows on from the series of the two ATM issues dedicated to the stages of the 2024 Vuelta in Lisbon and Madrid (see article and images below). The composition by José Carlos Alonso, from the Correos’s Filatelia’s design and imaging department, depicts on the left a cyclist on a blue background, the first of the three colours of the Andorran flag, and the Romanesque church of Sant Climent de Pal, in the parish of La Massana, on the right.

The sixth stage of the 2025 Vuelta, the first major mountain stage with a total elevation gain of 3,475 metres and four mountain passes, covered 170 km between Olot and Pal station in Andorra. The stage winner was the Australian Jay Vine (UAE Team Emirates). The seventh stage started in Andorra la Vella (image on cover) and finished in Cerler, Huesca.

The sculpture ‘Robot en suspensió‘ is by Belgian artist Paul Van Hoeydonck, who died three months before the issue, in May 2025. This metal sculpture suspended by cables, depicting the relationship between man and machine, was installed along with other sculptures in 1991 in the central courtyard of the Prada Casadet building, an open-air museum in Andorra la Vella.
This installation was part of an open-air sculpture symposium organised by the Caixa Andorrana de Seguretat Social (CASS) to celebrate its 25th anniversary in which several international artists participated with sculptural works and during which also the sculpture ‘Arcalís 91‘by the Italian Mauro Staccioli (depicted in one of the two ATM issues of 2021 (see article) was installed in the town of Ordino.

Both issues were available from August 28th 2025 from the Spanish philatelic service, with the stamps bearing the permanent code MDCC. It was also possible to buy them at the philatelic service stands in Andorra on August 28th (right image) and 29th, in this case printed with the special code AN25 (ANdorra 2025) and with special graphics.
